Abstract
In the whirlwind world of Developer Relations, we often find ourselves trapped in a productivity paradox: constantly busy, yet struggling to demonstrate meaningful impact. This talk explores how the same techniques that help people with ADHD manage focus and prioritization can transform DevRel effectiveness. Drawing parallels between executive function challenges and the overwhelming options in DevRel (community building, content creation, or product advocacy?), I’ll share a framework for cutting through the noise to identify high-leverage activities.
Learn how to escape the “DevRel Con” trap where we’re performing DevRel rather than driving developer success. Through practical examples and personal stories, discover how to shift from reactive busyness to strategic brilliance by implementing intentional workflows, measuring what matters, and creating sustainable impact that aligns with both developer needs and business objectives.
